Wimbledon 2015: Writers Awards – Best Male Player
Wimbledon 2015 has drawn to close. After a thrilling final played at the highest of levels, it is Novak Djokovic who has come away with his third title. Coming back from the brink in his fourth round tie, the world number one was the deserving champion on the day.
If anything it was the renaissance of Roger Federer that stole the headlines over the last fortnight, with his display in the semi finals against Andy Murray not far from the tennis he produced at his peak. He may be the wrong side of 30, but showed that on his day he can compete with anyone.
