Ivan Lendl is a former world No. 1 tennis player.

He is in the news in recent years for his coaching of tennis star Andy Murray. Lendl has 8 Grand Slam singles titles to his name. Lendl is largely considered to be the player that introduced “power tennis” to the sport. His style of play featured intense topspin and strength that he used to dominate opponents.
