Danish tennis star Caroline Wozniacki is set for another career year on the WTA Tour. Here’s a look at her upcoming season.

Caroline Wozniacki is coming off of a stellar year on the WTA Tour. While she was already a former world number one in women’s singles tennis, the Danish great notched her first career Grand Slam singles title at the 2018 Australian Open. She is gearing up for action in Auckland at the ASB Classic this coming month as she heads into play at Melbourne Park again.

As of right now, Wozniacki is OUR FAVORITE to defend her title at the Australian Open. A second major tournament win could be in the cards for the Danish tennis star.

At the ASB Classic in Auckland, other tennis stars such as Eugenie Bouchard will be in the mix. The field in women’s singles is poised to be packed with talent at every single tournament this coming year. A new generation of rising stars is taking over. It is players like Wozniacki, however, who sit right in the middle of the veteran greats and the young up and comers.

Entering the year as the world number three in women’s singles tennis, Wozniacki could touch the top ranking in the sport in the near future. Health will be a major factor for world number one and Romanian star Simona Halep. If she cannot keep up a strong enough schedule in the early months, Wozniacki could take advantage and move up. Right in front of her though is former world number one Angelique Kerber.
