You guessed it… Novak Djokovic tops the list of our top five favorites to take the men’s singles title at this year’s Australian Open.

Novak Djokovic enters the 2019 ATP Tour as the world number one in men’s singles tennis and the favorite to take the title at the Australian Open. He beats out two-time defending champion Roger Federer in our mind. Despite Federer’s recent success at Melbourne Park and on tour in general, Djokovic has surged, winning the two final slams of 2018. Nole also has six men’s singles titles to his name at the Australian Open.

Wrapping up the year in the world number one position, Djokovic claimed titles at Wimbledon and the US Open before finishing runner-up to Alexander Zverev at the ATP Finals in London.

Then, Djokovic kicked off the year winning the Mubadala Tennis Championship over Kevin Anderson and reaching the semifinals at the Qatar Open in Doha. There, the world number one was stunned by Roberto Bautista Agut but he still walks away with yet another impressive tournament performance.
