Canadian tennis star Eugenie Bouchard carries an impressive following on social media. She sent her fans a Valentine’s Day message this week.
Eugenie Bouchard is in the midst of making a comeback on the WTA Tour. She tasted some success to wrap up her 2018 and carried that momentum right into play in Auckland earlier this year. There, alongside women’s doubles partner Sofia Kenin, Bouchard won the doubles title at the ASB Classic. She also made it to the quarterfinals in women’s singles at the event.

The Canadian tennis player sent fans a Happy Valentine’s Day message via Instagram. Take a look at it here. Surprise, surprise, the post has already garnered well over 200,000 likes on Instagram. Earlier in the week, Bouchard shared photos and videos of her exploring Doha.
A tough opening round loss in qualifying kicked Bouchard out of contention this month at the Qatar Total Open. Action rolls on and we find the top seeded Simona Halep reaching the finals for a shot at the title. Bouchard needs to bounce back quickly.
Women’s singles tennis is filled with veteran greats and young rising stars right now. Bouchard is contending with likes of new superstars such as Naomi Osaka and Sloane Stephens along with those like Halep, Angelique Kerber, Petra Kvitova, Caroline Wozniacki and so many others. Genie is off to a solid start on the year with her performance in Auckland but she needs to keep it up sooner rather than later if she plans to rise in the women’s singles rankings.
