Wimbledon 2026 will begin on Monday, June 29, and run through Sunday, July 12. That last date is when the men's final will be held. The ladies' final is held the day before.
What tennis fans won't see is a return of Carlos Alcaraz. He is still dealing with a wrist injury and has no firm timeline for his comeback. He won the event in 2023 and 2024, but was defeated by Jannik Sinner in last year's final. Sinner might need to shake off a little rust himself. He hasn't played since he was shockingly knocked out of the French Open in the second round.
On the ladies' side, anything can happen. Iga Swiatek won last year, but hasn't been in top form in 2026. Wimbledon also hasn't seen back-to-back champions on the ladies' side since Serena Williams won in 2015 and 2016.

Speaking of Williams, she will return to the grass-court major in doubles and singles, too. She will play with her sister, Venus, in doubles, and received a wild card for singles in what should be must-watch tennis for fans globally.
