Nitto ATP Finals Schedule and Draw Day 6: Carlos Alcaraz battles Alexander Zverev
By Lee Vowell
Day 6 of the Nitto ATP Finals is full of possibilities. In fact, getting into how Alexander Zverev, Carlos Alcaraz, and Casper Ruud could advance can be brain-numbing. Only Andrey Rublev is almost certainly done at the event.
Still, Rublev could act as a spoiler to Ruud and keep him from getting a sniff of making the semifinals. Rublev and Ruud play the later match on Friday while Alcaraz and Zverev, possibly the match more people are interested in, play in the earlier match. Zverev is the only undefeated player so far and the only one with a chance to win the big money at the event.
An undefeated champion at the ATP Finals would earn $4,881,500. Just winning the tournament would still pay $2,237,200, but missing out on an extra $2 million would be tough. Though Zverev has a very good chance, win or lose versus Alcaraz, of making the semifinals, he will be extra motivated to win every match with so much money on the line.
