This is shocking news. Tennis stars Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas have ended their relationship. The dating relationship that got going at Indian Wells in 2023 is no longer.

Badosa and Tsitsipas were inseparable last year while she was off the tour dealing with a back injury. She was seen in his box and with his family at tournaments. The two were so famous together that they had their moniker "Tsitsidosa."

It is unclear when the relationship officially ended. Badosa announced the breakup on her social media account as she asked for privacy during this time.

A sad day for Paula Badosa and StefanosTsitsipas and tennis fans

While some people did not appreciate their relationship, I thought it was wonderful that they found each other and were so happy. Being a professional athlete is difficult. Having someone by your side who understands what you are going through has to be comforting.

Both also seemed genuinely in love. The last time they were publicly seen together on the big stage was at Indian Wells when they played the Eisenhower Cup mixed doubles exhibition in March. They were smiling and happy while spending time together on the court. Three weeks ago as Badosa was playing at Stuttgart, Tsitsipas joined the Tennis Channel for an interview while watching her match. The pair was also reportedly spotted together in Madrid days recently.

As difficult as it is to find love while traveling around the world 11 months a year playing professional tennis, it may also be difficult for the pair knowing that they will run into each other at Grand Slams and Masters-level tournaments.

Badosa continues to battle through injuries, but all indications are that she will play the 2024 French Open in a few weeks. Tsitsipas is a 2021 French Open finalist viewed as one of the top players yet to win his first Grand Slam.

Wimbledon and the Paris Summer Olympics are other opportunities for their paths to cross in the coming months. While the split is amicable, it is difficult dealing with a public breakup while preparing for big events this spring and summer.
