Tennis News from the Super Bowl: Roger Federer and Morgan Riddle
- Lindsey Vonn is asked by NFL Network about her comments on Roger Federer
- Morgan Riddle, girlfriend of Taylor Fritz, describes her Super Bowl experience
If you think football was the only sport on the minds of those working and attending the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 11, think again. Roger Federer's name was brought up in a discussion with United States skiing legend Lindsey Vonn, and American tennis player Taylor Fritz's girlfriend and social media personality Morgan Riddle shared the good, bad, and ugly details of her Super Bowl girls' weekend.
NFL Network's Stacy Dales interviewed Lindsey Vonn on the sidelines during their pregame programming. Part of the interview was focused on her recent comments about Roger Federer which got her into some hot water. Recall that she skied with Federer last week and while sharing the photos on social media, she called him the GOAT of tennis.
Because everyone has differing opinions on the tennis GOAT, Vonn got backlash for the comments and used her time on the NFL Network to clarify the comments by saying that Federer was an idol of hers and that the GOAT debate is a subjective one because everyone has different criteria.
Like Vonn, Morgan Riddle was at the Super Bowl on a girls weekend
With Taylor Fritz in training mode to rejoin the ATP Tour after his recent injury hiatus, his girlfriend Morgan Riddle had a girls' weekend in Las Vegas for the Super Bowl. It was a memorable experience in more ways than one.
Riddle was initially reluctant to share the details but ultimately decided to do so. She described the mainly male population in attendance at the game as having questionable behavior and being under the influence of alcohol. Riddle was groped and hit on by men in some cases with their young sons present. She went on to say that she never experienced that type of treatment while traveling with Fritz on the ATP tour.
