It is likely only fitting that a tournament with the extra-long title of Fayez Sarofim & Co. US Men's Clay Court Championship will feature two Americans. The 2025 final, held on Sunday, will see second-seed Frances Tiafoe take on Jenson Brooksby. Tiafoe is highly familiar with making deep runs in Houston.

The ATP No. 17 has made the finals the last two years and won the event in 2023. Brooksby, however, has made three finals in his career but has yet to take home a trophy. Tiafoe will be the favorite, but Brooksby is fresh off a win against No. 13 Tommy Paul, so a lack of confidence should not be an issue.

Plus, Brooksby is already a winner from the tournament. He began the event ranked No. 507, but with his success in Houston, he has moved up 286 spots to No. 221. If he defeats Tiafoe, he will move up another 50 more spots.

What to expect from the 2025 US Men's Clay Court Championship final

Oddly, while Tiafoe has had a far better career than Brooksby, Brooksby has defeated Tiafoe both times they have played each other. Both meetings came on hard courts, and none since 2022. Tiafoe should be expected to win the US Men's Clay Court Championship, likely in three sets.

What will the weather be like for the final of the 2025 US Men's Clay Court Championship?

After the awful weather on Saturday, when thunderstorms came through and caused multiple pauses in the action, rain should not be a problem on Sunday. If there is an issue, wind gusts could be the problem. According to the Weather Channel, wind gusts will be in the upper teens throughout the match.

Temperatures will be relatively cool for Houston with a high on Sunday of only 60 degrees. This means the players should not have any issues with the heat or the rain, but only potentially, the wind.
