Wimbledon 2025 men's semifinals: Preview, match times, how to watch

There was a lot of carnage at the beginning of Wimbledon 2025. This includes both sides of the draw, with some hopefuls dropping out early. The men's side was not exempt. Daniil Medvedev, for instance, not only lost in the first round, but dropped well out of the top 10 of the ATP tour.

Now that we have reached the semifinals of the grass-court major, however, we have learned that the new boss is the same as the old boss. The pretenders are gone, and the players that remain include Carlos Alcaraz, Janik Sinner, and Novak Djokovic. That list includes eight of the last 10 men's singles champions (Djokovic six times and Alcaraz twice) and the current ATP No. 1 (Sinner).

In other words, while all the upsets may have implied that anyone has a chance to win the Wimbledon 2025 title, in reality, the end means that. Alcaraz is the favorite as the two-time champion, but Sinner and Djokovic could take the trophy too.

Of course, that leaves out Fritz. The American has elevated himself into one of the more consistent players on the ATP tour. The issue is that he hasn't yet proven he can win a major.

What time are the matches?

The matches begin at 1:30 pm BST (8:30 am ET) on Friday, July 11. The first match features Carlos Alcaraz versus Taylor Fritz, with Novak Djokovic versus Jannik Sinner to follow. Both matches will be played on center court.

Preview and who will win:

At the end of his career, Djokovic is going to have a better head-to-head record against the other two giants of his generation, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. He likely will not be as successful against the two best players of the generation that followed. Sinner, for example, currently leads the H2H against Djokovic 5-4, and the Italian has won the last four matches.

He will win this one too in four sets. At this point, he simply hits bigger than the Serb and moves around the court better. Experience can carry a player only so far.

Fritz and Alcaraz have faced off only twice before, and the Spaniard has won each easily. He will win this match easily, too. Alcaraz will win in three sets, and Fritz will probably win six total games.
