Arguably the greatest tennis player to ever grace a court, Roger Federer is right near the top of our picks to win the Australian Open.

Accolades continue to roll in for back to back Australian Open champion Roger Federer. The Swiss tennis legend is coming off of yet another title run at the 2019 Hopman Cup alongside partner Belinda Bencic. He and Bencic ousted Alexander Zverev and Angelique Kerber. Federer appears to be in his usual elite form entering the 2019 ATP Tour.

It is difficult to pick anyone ahead of Federer for the men’s singles title at Melbourne Park. Federer has six titles at the Australian Open, two of which came in 2017 and 2018 respectively. He will be out to defend his title this year.

At 37-years-old, Federer has been able to maintain a level of play above and beyond most everyone on the ATP Tour. He has to be considered a top pick to defend his two consecutive titles at Melbourne Park. Only one man tops the list and beats out the Swiss tennis legend for our top five favorites to take the men’s singles title at the 2019 Australian Open.
